This update brings several major improvements for Tapaaminen.net users. Meeting creators now receive new notifications, registration and sign-in have been redesigned, and new features have been added for managing your personal data.

New notifications

Registered users who create meetings now receive notifications about activity related to their meetings.

A notification is created when someone:

• signs up for a meeting
• posts a comment
• replies to a comment

This makes it easier to keep track of activity in your meetings directly in the service.

You will also now be notified about important security-related changes to your account. You will receive a notification when:

• your email address or password is changed
• password sign-in is disabled
• a passkey is added or removed
• two-factor authentication is enabled or disabled
• two-factor authentication recovery codes are regenerated

This makes it easier to notice security-related changes made to your account.

Redesigned registration and sign-in

Registration and sign-in have been completely redesigned. At the same time, Tapaaminen.net now has more comprehensive support for passkey sign-in.

You can now create a new account using either a traditional password or a passkey without setting a password at all.

Existing accounts can also be made completely passwordless. Once you have added a passkey to your account, you can remove your password entirely if you wish.

Account management has also been simplified by removing the separate username. Additional protection has also been added when changing sensitive account information and settings.

Your data and privacy

You can now request a downloadable copy of the personal data stored about you on Tapaaminen.net. The request is confirmed by email and then processed by the administration. Once your data package is ready, you will receive a download link by email.

You can now also delete your own account directly from the service.

Cookie settings and other privacy-related features have also been updated.

Other improvements

Deleted time options can now be restored when managing a meeting.

Service messages sent by Tapaaminen.net are now sent in the language you have selected.

The update also includes smaller user interface improvements and clearer instructions for features such as password resets and verification codes.
